Of The Rescue is a worship band from Wichita, KS. They desire to lead people to Christ through the music that they play. The band includes Matt Allen (vocals/guitar) Johnn Jonston (keys/vocals) Phillip Burnett (bass) and Nate Yarnell (drums). Of The Rescue has been playing together since August 2008. Of The Rescue has quickly realized that the music they have written encourages and lifts up those who hear it. Everyone can be rescued from something and they believe that is possible through Jesus Christ. The band desires to reach as many people outside the church as they can. When Of The Rescue isn’t out playing shows and youth group events, they are leading worship at their local church on Sunday mornings. Of The Rescue has a passion for the church and leading worship. Of The Rescue’s first EP in 2008 has 3 songs they feel has molded the band into Of The Rescue and tells a story of life. The songs on that EP are What’s Next, Rescue Me, and Live. Songs that focus on the hope, peace, assurance and life found in Christ. Their full-length album, Work In Progress, came out in 2010, and conveys a message that nobody is perfect in this world(not even the members of the band! *gasp*), that we have ALL sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD, but that He will take us back each and every time we ask for His forgiveness and mercy. Of The Rescue is putting their hope in Christ so all can know the hope found in Him through their music.
