Just a little update on some pretty cool stuff that has happened and will be happening soon for Of The Rescue. First off, you may have seen on our calendar that we are playing at an event called Ekklesia alot recently. Ekklesia is basically a shorter version of a Sunday morning service compressed into an hour long time of worship and reflection. It is every Sunday at 5pm, at Eastminster Church on North Webb Rd. if any of you all would like to come out sometime. We have been taking the funds that we receive from playing there and putting it back into our ministry. We have updated our merchandise and our merchandise display. We got some new banners for our merch table and have also ordered more shirts and buttons, so there will be more of a selection for you all to choose from in the near furture! We have also brought our sales into the 21st century and are now able to take all major credit/debit cards! We got a little contraption that goes onto Matt's iPhone that we can swipe your card and send you a receipt to your email. How cool is that?! On top of all of that, we are writing some new songs! We hope to see you out at a show! And when you come, come up and say hi to us. We love to talk to you all and share more of what's been going on in our lives. God Bless! ~Nate

Here we are, starting the weekend of D-Now in Mulvane KS. We're sitting in the Sponsor/volunteer/band meeting, listening to what we are PLANNING to happen for the weekend. The only thing we really WANT though is that hearts will be broken, and lives will be changed. Please pray for our journey this weekend as we go through it with Jr. High and High Schoolers that live in a world where it's not "cool" to be involved in church.

Hey Everyone!

God is so faithful and we are seeing him work in the band! We have been writing a ton of new music for you all to hear and hopefully be transformed and changed by it. Worship is such a wonderful way to bless God for what he is doing. I recently wrote a new song out of Lamentations

Lamentations 3:22-23

Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

We are not consumed or bound to this world and are called out of it through His love and compassion! I am realizing more everyday how much God loves us and wants us to just take time and filter out all the junk and realize it. When we wake up we should PRAISE the Lord that his mercies are new every morning. It's a new day, a day to start over.

Of The Rescue

Hey Of The Rescue fans!!! We need your help with a great opportunity for us. OTR is in the running to play at the Chisholm Trail Festival in Newton KS on July 2-4. We have the chance to open for such bands as Sanctus Real and This Beautiful Republic. Here's where you can help. So hope everyone is doing great!

So this is the first blog to be written... So crazy thing just happened. I am playing some music, writing a new song and get a phone call from Ohio. So what do I do? I ignore it, they can leave a voicemail. The suspicion was getting to me, so I had to call it back! The phone rings and a very sweet lady from Waverly, Ohio answers and says "WHO ARE YOU!"  I said well who are you! Anyways, she had gone to the Waverly City Library and got a Steven King book and out fell one of our Of The Rescue business cards. She said it kind of freaked her out with the card saying something about rescue while getting ready to read a Steven King book. Anyways, it is just crazy that someone in Ohio ended up with one of our cards. We have never been close to Ohio!?!?! It is just amazing to see what God is doing in crazy ways. That lady was encouraged and glad to see that. I just thought that was a really cool thing that happened. Definitely made our week even better!
